Java.lang.math.max()je vgrajena metoda v Javi, ki se uporablja za vrnitev največje ali največje vrednosti iz podanih dveh argumentov. Argumenti so sprejeti v int, float, double in long.

Sintaksa:

 public static int max(int a, int b) public static double max(double a, double b) public static long max(long a, long b) public static float max(float a, float b) 

Parametri:

 a: first value b: second value 

Vrnitev:

 This method returns maximum of two numbers. 

• Če kot argument podamo pozitivno in negativno vrednost, bo ta metoda vrnila pozitiven argument.
• Če kot argument podamo obe negativni vrednosti, se kot rezultat vrne število z nižjo velikostjo.
• Če argumenti niso število (NaN), bo ta metoda vrnila NaN.

 public class MaxExample1 { public static void main(String args[]) { int x = 20; int y = 50; //print the maximum of two numbers System.out.println(Math.max(x, y)); } }

 50
